Lately I have been getting to spend a lot of time with my favorite guy, my nephew Thomas. Not only am I his favorite aunt, I am now also his favorite babysitter 😉
Thomas is growing like a weed and absorbing everything around him like a sponge! It is amazing to watch him experience all types of new things, process them, and figure out how to repeat or copy them. He is even starting to get the hang of repeating things he hears.
I am admittedly biased, but Thomas is really rather awesome. Recently, I even captured some of that awesomeness on video! Here are the three best and most recent videos of him:
In this first one he practices saying “uh oh,” “get down,” and “cuckoo” 😀
In the next one I managed to distract him from the iPad for a minute to get him to copy me 😛
And this last one is of his first, hands-on experience with a puddle 😉
I suspect that this videos will continue to make me smile for a very long time, but I can’t wait to capture even more videographic evidence of how amazing and awesome he is 😉

Today I am thankful that this year I have the best Valentine ever… My #1 guy… Thomas! 😉
I hope that everyone has a good day, even if you aren’t celebrating Valentine’s Day!
It is already going on six months since Thomas turned one!
The day before his actual birthday we threw a mini-party for him at my grandma’s (his great-grandma’s) house. It was just my grandparents, my sisters, Thomas, and I. We stuck a candle in a cannoli and sang Happy Birthday. 🙂 It was a lot of fun to watch him eat his first cannoli! (He is 1/8th Italian after all 😉 )
Thankfully my sister got some awesome pictures! Here are a few of my favorites:
He really wasn’t quite sure what to do with it at first, but he ended up finishing the whole thing. In fact, he seemed to enjoy the cannoli more than his actual birthday cake the following day 😛
My nephew and my neph-mew, Tommy and Sebastian, are still good buddies 🙂
Speaking of change… I am not the only one in my family who has experienced amazing changes this year.
Remember this little guy??
That picture was from last Christmas, when he was almost 5 months old… He is not so little anymore! (Not that he has ever really been “little.”) Want to see a more recent picture?
Thomas is now fifteen months old! He had to have his first haircut before he even turned one! He is walking and running and giving his mom quite the workout 😉 He “talks” a ton, even though it doesn’t quite make sense to the rest of us yet. He reminds me a lot of his mom. It is kinda hard to believe how much he has grown in such a short time! Now for some of my favorite pictures of him… In a collage! 😉
I have plenty more pictures of him to share… But I probably shouldn’t overload you with too many at once. 😉 So for now I will leave you with one last picture… Thomas as a biker this Halloween! 😀
My nephew and my neph-mew, Tommy and Sebastian 🙂
I have been pretty distracted lately.. Totally forgot to post something meaningful yesterday! Here are some cute picture to make up for the brain lapse: 😉
Some “older” shots of my nephew Tommy from September, when he was a few weeks old.
Recently my youngest brother, Scott, went up to visit my sister Ali and my nephew Tommy for the fist time since his birth. Everyone had a great time and Scott even held Tommy! Ali sent me this picture:It made me smile, especially because I can remember when Scott was that little, 21 years ago.Although, I suppose “little” is a relative term. Scott was the only baby I know that was bigger than Tommy at birth! (Tommy was 10lb 8oz and Scott was 10lb 11oz!) That is Ali holding Scott in the picture 🙂
Today Tommy is 2 months old! Here are some latest shots of Tommy boy 😀
My other neph-mew, Sebastian, is not afraid of Tommy anymore 😛 (Onyx still isn’t so sure about Tommy)
When my sister sent me this the caption was “Tommy meets his evil twin”
I am pretty sure he is only getting more and more cute as time goes by 😉
Today Tommy is a month old!
I just realized that I have had so much going on here with school and work and life that I forgot to report that he is finally home and doing great!
After 10 days of being in the hospital on supplemental oxygen he finally got to take his first car ride 🙂
Last week I made the drive up to visit with my sister and Tommy and I got some cute pictures.
I was really excited that I got to hold him a lot, and I even got to help feed him some supplemental formula. I invited the family to come to Tampa for a visit this month, so hopefully I will get to spend more time with him again soon! I may be a bit biased, since he is family an all, but he is so darn cute!
