Music Made by Hand

“Music is what life sounds like.”

~ Eric Olson

When it comes to music I am no expert and any talent I may have is, as of yet, undiscovered.  I enjoy music of all genres as a kind of soundtrack to my life; in the background and often unnoticed, but always there.  As little attention as I may pay to music though, I can’t help but be impressed by the dexterity of the musicians.  Watching fingers gliding across a piano, picking out the perfect notes, or hands and drumsticks flying through the air, keeping the beat, is cathartic and inspiring for someone like me; someone who is passionate about working with her hands.

On that note, I wanted to share a video that I was impressed by.  It is the drummer from the band Marvlec practicing, shot from an angle where you can really see what he is doing.

Of course, I may be a little biased since Scott is my youngest brother and I can remember helping to set up his first drum set when he was in elementary school, but I am still amazed by (and a bit proud of) his skill 😉  For anyone interested in hearing the whole band playing together here is the video they made for that same song.
